The Monster in Me: The Wolf Man

Sometimes I get so angry I could…

Chances are you’ve said that at some point. Anger builds up and rage takes control, we become a beast.

The Wolf Man is a story of uncontrolled anger. Sure, remorse follows, but it’s usually too late, the damage is already done.

Matthew 5:21-26 gives us a lot of insight into how Jesus viewed anger. Our anger puts us on the same path as murder. We need to cool it, especially when we go after those close to us (“you say to your brother”). Our anger even affects our worship.

Jesus recommendation, kill it and kill it fast. Find the silver bullet (which by the way were used to kill the Beast of Gévaudan in the mid 1700s). What is it that sets you off? Is it worth getting this angry over? What will come of this? We need to determine the cause of our anger and move past it so that we can move on and worship God fully. We do this so our example can be one that is…

…all about Christ,
David
